Shockwave: If you have any Macromedia Director movies you’re using (or other files saved in the Shockwave format) the Asset panel will list them here.
Movies: Any videos that are a part of your site will be listed here. Highlight your movie, and click on the green play button to preview them. Cool!
Scripts: Unless you’re working with separate VBScript or JavaScript files in your site, this category will remain empty.
Templates: If you make use of templates in your site, head to the Asset panel, where they’ll be listed and ready for action.
Library: Libraries are such a huge topic, they get an entire section of their own in Ten Ton Dreamweaver. Head for Chapter 5 see libraries in full effect.
To place an asset onto your page try this:
- On your page, place your insertion point where you’d like the asset to appear.
- In the Asset panel, using the icons on the left, navigate to the category where your asset is stored, then select it.
- At the bottom of the Asset panel, click the Insert button.
The asset is placed onto your page. A faster way to inset an asset is to simply drag and drop it onto your page from the panel.
