This is very useful for a beginner like me. Guess what I finished all 6 parts of this CSS Layout thing. Thank you very much Geoff. You rock, man! I think I'm gonna start designing my site based on the layout I created along with your tutorial.
  • Bruce! Wow, you made it all the way through all 6 parts? Good stuff! And it's awesome to hear you're plunging into designing your site after all this. Definitely send me a link once you're done!

    Glad to hear you enjoyed!

  • Hi Geoff..

A straight forward approach to CSS.. Really made it easy to learn, Great Job!
Will you be teaching anything in the future for Dreamweaver and PHP/dynamic sites and database connections etc?

    Thanks again!

  • Hi Dean,

Thanks for the comment and the kind words! Dreamweaver and PHP is a very real possibility. I have some other things planned for the short term (stay tuned to tentonbooks.com for announcements) but beyond that, we shall see!

    Hey Geoff!
Have been scanning the web for a good tutorial and her I was. It´s really help me out to make the big leap, to go all in for CSS. Keep up the good work and speed.
Have to throw in a question as well: Can you please tip us how do expand the height of a div to push down content in divs below it?
  • Hey man! Awesome to hear you've enjoyed the tutorials! Great to hear they were able to help you make that leap into CSS. You know, on the issue of the expanding height, that's going to be the focus of a new series of tutorials that I'm working on right now. So if you can sit tight for a bit, all will be answered!!

    Cheers,

These Dreamweaver tutorials are the best I've found on the web. You have a great teaching style, Geoff. So glad to see you used both AP divs and regular ones in your design. I created my site with all AP divs because the "regular" divs confused me, especially the math involved. Now, I'm no longer confused and feel I can expertly design a site using both. Can't wait to watch your new tutorials!
  • Thanks a lot for your great comment, and for the kind words! Awesome to hear you're enjoying the tutorials so much. Something I've been meaning to get to is creating some tutorials on creating "float" layouts, which is surprisingly much easier than working with AP divs! I'll put it on my list and get to work on it!

    Thanks for stopping by!
